Broadest(max.3000mm width) Rubber Sheet production starts.
Kureha Elastomer starts the production of extra broad and large-sized rubber
sheet (max. 3000 mm width) from February 2012 which is one of the broadest
rubber sheets in the world.
We installed newest large scale vulcanizing machine in our Kameyama plant which can produce no joint 3000 mm width products.
We started designing facilities from last May and finished installing on
last December and starts manufacturing from this February.
New machine is comprised of 3000 mm width vulcanizing zone, surface treatment zone and secondary vulcanizing zone of new method. It can practice continuous production of silicone rubber sheet, fluororubber sheet, etc.
We promote our sheet business considering three cores, broad rubber sheet,
commodity and highest-functional rubber like VBRAN and ultra thin sheet
etc. We consider our broad sheet business for challenging new fields like
building, public works, ocean works, road works and railroad business etc,
catching user needs accurately and developing markets.
We also produce with conventional facilities at first, and will consolidate
the facilities in the future and promote the productivity improvement.
The demand of silicone rubber sheets for vacuum press is increasing, and
we will change to use the new machine for this use after preparing production
support.
